Half-Life Alyx, so far, is the top tier VR game if you exclude the simulators like MS Flight Sim and the like. Some of the other experiences and such are cool but they do border on being a gimmick. Sony seem to be aiming high with they talked up the Horizon VR title in the PSVR2 spec unveiling but the jury is out on that one until it releases.
Why do you need full screen on the desktop when playing VR? If I wanted to show the game on the desktop for friends or capture it for OBS, I would use the Vr View that you can easily change to full screen
