To reset an Apple Watch, open the Watch app on the connected iPhone and tap on "All Watches." Tap the "i" icon next to the watch in the menu followed by "Unpair Apple Watch." You'll be asked for your Apple ID password to remove Activation Lock.
Press firmly on Power Off (do not try to slide it - just press down more firmly than a normal tap), release your finger and then tap on Erase all content and settings.
